Truth & Lifestyles

So Im back from the city.

Had a great time. :]

But lets recap, so on my way to the city my stepfather and I were listening to the radio & they were talking about how Miley Cyrus just got a million dollar deal to be the spokeswoman for lifestyle condoms, & like all the crazy grown ups were calling in and saying its a bad idea and just had negative views on it, because their little children look up to her and whatever; and how shes just 15 years old; and they should find somebody else to be the spokeswoman.
Well I think the situation needs the input of a child from this generation-
I support Miley Cyrus to be the spokeswoman the fact that she is 15 should have nothing to do with it because at 15 I was probably the only virgin out of my whole crew of friends. The truth of the matter is by 12, 13 children are becoming curious and they are doing things that adults now a days didn't do until they were 17, or 18. It sucks but ITS TRUE. At 12 I was in a class with two pregnant girls, It is happening and these kids are doing things at younger and younger ages.
what is so wrong about what she will be promoting? Shes promoting sex- yeah sure but promoting it in a positive way, shes not saying "hey kids pull your pants down and have a ball!"
the message thats trying to be sent out is- yeah teenagers do have sex- but do it the smart way.
Its better to have them protecting themselves then having nothing at all.
So what's the whole commotion? yeah she's young, yeah shes looked up to by many but that is the exact reason they chose her- Lifestyles could of easily found someone such as, Paris Hilton, Brittney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, or just an average adult- nobody would turn down a million dollar deal. But thats typical, and would be targeting the same audience which isn't the voices of tomorrow- its not targeting the people most affected by unprotected sex- its not targeting teenagers. Choosing a 15 year old to be the face of the condom is not common at all. Woman now and planned parenthood are over flooded daily with not adults- but teenagers, the harsh truth of it is SEX DOES HAPPEN & more and more teens are getting STD's or getting pregnant everyday theres nothing wrong with her getting on a commercial and sending a positive message out to the world- its not going to have an affect on every single person- But it can take one to make a difference.
Adults buy condoms, Men and Woman carry condoms.
Teenagers? Not so much their either embarrassed to buy some or scared to ask their parents to take them to the store to get some so why not have a teenager promote the product, its not promoting anything that hasn't been done yet.
Its not like children don't turn on the TV and see a Trojan commercial or a KY jelly commercial SEX IS EVERYWHERE - sex is put out in the public everyday, sex is being peer pressured more and more I know 3rd graders who know more about sex then I do.
The adults need to wake up and see that "mommies little baby" is actually the schools biggest player and "daddies little girl" is opening her legs to the community.

So I support Miley Cyrus for thinking about taking the deal- Shes not a baby shes a teenager and a young adult and everyone needs to wake up and see that child stars do grow up and they need to make grown up moves to be respected as not a child- but a young woman.
And so what if she was on the Disney channel,
Brittney Spears was on the Mickey Mouse club and look at how she turned out.
